Objects are often considered worthless once they no longer fulfil their original purpose – despite their potential for alternative uses. As part of the class exhibition “Andere brauchen Ihren Sitzplatz vielleicht notwendiger”, Thelma and Louise were created in collaboration with Camilla Ruh.
Discarded objects formed the starting point for our new seating designs. Rather than designing from scratch, we worked with existing materials and explored how their components could be repurposed, modified and recombined into new forms and functions. The resulting chairs were exhibited and auctioned in support of the Ute Bock Foundation.
